Some of the advice given here is specific to London and  to our particular trip, but many of the principles can be helpful wherever you travel abroad. For example, most foreign countries do not provide electricity at the same voltage or with the same electrical connections as we do in the United States. So you need to take extra care to be sure your hair dryer or your computer is not going to get burned up when you plug it in (see the page called “London survival tips“).
